2005 Manhattan Studio

Caprell returned to New York in 2005 where he worked from his Manhattan studio on 38th Street, near Grand Central Station. A sharp contrast to the West Coast, New York’s intense and contagious energy became apparent in Caprell’s work as it evolved in response to the city’s pulse. His Freedum, Exploride and AtomicMusic series were developed in this studio, utilizing more aggressive techniques, and grittier expressions. Caprell decided to expand his endeavors by exhibiting along the East Coast and for the first time, with gallery representation. Etra Fine Art, in the heart of Miami's thriving design district, threw him a summer exhibition which was quickly followed by a show at Gardner Gallery, nestled in downtown Atlanta's trendy South Buckhead. With this added exposure, Caprell’s work drew the attention of collectors from across the country as well as abroad.
