Now ten years into his career, Caprell had fulfilled his hope of affecting the lives of others in a meaningful way. His desire was to continue moving forward in life as an artist, but the reality of a spiraling economy brought him to a financial crossroads. With dampened spirits, Caprell began to look backwards to his time as a banker and the security it afforded.
It was a pivotal time for Caprell and his wife, and they felt the need for personal and professional renewal. Caprell’s exposure to these cultures emphasized the beauty of connecting with the world in a human way, giving renewed value to his artistic pursuit. He returned from his travels inspired and free, with the joyous news of a child on the way, but still the future was unclear.
