With an emboldened passion for his art, but faced with the reality of financial uncertainty, Caprell shared his dilemma with a few close confidants. It was friend and client Harris Bass that brought final clarity, first with adamant advice to not leave the arts, and soon thereafter with a business proposal and patronage. With support from Bass, Caprell opened a spacious studio in a former gasket-manufacturing plant on the south side of Los Angeles where he created the series Regenesis, his first since returning from sabbatical. Renewed and confident, Caprell's work flourished and Regenesis was exhibited in November of 2011, hosted by he and Bass on Main Street in Culver City.
